ADVERTISING CONCEPT: The Sony Walkman cassette player is an iconic electronic device that revolutionized the way people listened to music. It was first introduced in 1979 and quickly became popular due to its portability and ease of use. The original Walkman could only play cassettes, but later versions included features such as AM/FM radio, CD players, and even digital music players. The Walkman allowed people to enjoy their favourite music while on the go, whether jogging, commuting, or travelling. It paved the way for other portable music players such as the iPod and the smartphone. Although cassette tapes are no longer in widespread use, the impact of the Sony Walkman on the music industry and popular culture remains significant.
The 3D "W" shape was crafted in Adobe Illustrator, along with the bubble shapes, to allow me to scale it with ease and to have more control over the paths for the main shape. Using Adobe Photoshop, I added gradients, noise and shading to bring the design to life, making the "W" stand out with a level of depth and dimensionality through the use of gradients and shading. The headphones were re-coloured to allow them to contrast with the background colour.
