A personal project that I explored throughout 2016. Since January 1st of that year, I developed a new idea for a typeface that alternated between upper case and lower case lettering. I finished the project on December 23rd 2016. All of my letterings were designed in a personal sketchbook using a mixture of pencils and fine liners. There were no restrictions to the design of each letter as long as they were individual and not similar looking. Once the design was completed at the end of the week, I moved the sketch into Adobe Illustrator to digitize it.
At the end of the year, I created a book to show each letter in vector format. Each letter was printed onto photographic paper and placed into the book using small cutaways to house each one on its own individual page. Underneath each letter, the date was placed to show when it had been completed. The book features each typeface printed onto 4x6” photographic paper and is held together by 25mm binding screws.
